LOD is one of the world’s leading providers of alternative legal and technology consulting services, working with a pool of more than 4,500 specialist legal professionals, technologists and engineers.
With ten offices around the world, the group serves more than 500 multinational clients – both corporates and law firms – in 25 countries, including 27 members of the FTSE 100.
Since Bowmark supported the management buy-out of LOD (Lawyers On Demand) in May 2018, the company has approximately doubled its revenues, significantly expanded its technology consultancy capabilities and broadened its international footprint. This has included the launch of the business in North America, the world’s largest legal services market.
Tom Hartley, CEO of LOD, said: ‘Bowmark were early in recognising the opportunity to drive transformation in legal services, and have helped us to develop LOD into one of the leading providers in the sector. Our unique combination of services and technology means that we are well-placed to help our clients transform their legal functions, achieving greater automation, flexibility and efficiency.’
Tom Shelford, partner at Bowmark, commented: ‘The legal sector continues to see growing demand for alternative providers, and we have been delighted to support the LOD team in developing its highly differentiated global service proposition. The business is uniquely positioned to continue its strong record of growth and we wish the company further success with Consilio.’
