Since Bowmark acquired Glenside in February 2011, it has helped the company to expand the scale and scope of its services, including opening a new specialist 22-bed care home in Farnborough. It has also supported the redevelopment of the company’s main site in Salisbury, significantly improving the quality of the facilities and enlarging its capacity. Developing three additional units at Salisbury has expanded the site’s capacity to care for acquired brain injury patients, as well as extending Glenside’s offering to provide rehabilitation pathways for spinal injury patients.
At the same time, Glenside strengthened its management team with the recruitment of Christina Walsh, formerly of Partnerships In Care, as CEO, and Tobi Gowers, formerly of Lighthouse Healthcare, as Finance Director. Under their leadership, Glenside further enhanced its reputation as a high quality specialist care provider, achieving a “good with outstanding features” rating from the Care Quality Commission in 2016.
