Bowmark Capital-backed Aston Scott accompanies 22% rise in operating profit with acquisition news

Reflecting its strategy of combining strong organic growth with targeted acquisitions, Aston Scott started 2016 with the purchase of First Commercial Insurance Brokers, a successful independent commercial insurance brokerage based in Burnham on Crouch, Essex. The business, which also trades as Renovation Plan and provides insurance for renovation projects, will become the 13th branch in the group’s expanding network.

The acquisition is the first since Bowmark backed the management buy-out of the business in May 2015.

Aston Scott has also been awarded Chartered Insurance Broker status by the Chartered Insurance Institute in recognition of its commitment to providing the highest standards of professional practice and customer care.
