Bruce succeeds Gavin Lyons following a 12-month succession process – having joined the company in 2021 as CFO, before being promoted to Managing Director and CFO earlier this year. Gavin will continue as a member of the board and as a strategic adviser to the business.
Mark Rogerson, Tax Systems’ Chairman, said: “Bruce has made a significant impact on the leadership team and our business since joining in 2021. We are delighted to appoint him at this key point in the company’s evolution, and are confident that he will lead us well during this period and beyond. As a Board, we are extremely grateful to Gavin Lyons who has led the business with considerable success as Co-Founder and CEO over the last six years, and we are truly delighted to be continuing to work with him and to benefit from his continued support and guidance in the years ahead.”
Bruce Martin commented: “The expanding market opportunity, together with the impending launch of our new proposition as a pure SaaS provider with a unique, purpose-built platform, marks this as an exciting time in the company’s development. We have lots to do and I am very eager to lead our team in this next stage of growth, building on the significant achievements to date.”
Simon Kaufman, Investment Director at Bowmark, added: “Bruce has already proven to be a fantastic asset to the Tax Systems’ team, and we look forward to continuing to work together to grow the business.”
