After eight successful years at Pirum, Phil Morgan will transition from his role as CEO to an advisory position, in which he will continue to support the business. Under Phil’s leadership, Pirum has achieved sustained growth, developed a market-leading product offering and significantly expanded its footprint, particularly in North America.
Mark Hale joins Pirum from Visible Alpha, where he served as CEO for the past four-and-a-half years and led the company through its acquisition by S&P Global Market Intelligence. With over 22 years of prior experience at FactSet, including as chief operating officer, Mark brings deep expertise in financial technology.
Pirum is also welcoming Ben Challice as president and chief strategy officer. Ben, who previously served as Pirum’s chief operating officer, rejoins the company after seven years at JP Morgan as global head of trading services.
Phil Morgan commented: “The last eight years at Pirum have been hugely rewarding and I am proud of what we have achieved. Pirum is a wonderful business, with a best-in-class team and an extremely supportive client base, and I look forward to seeing Mark and Ben deliver great solutions in the future”.
Ben Challice, president and chief strategy officer, commented: “It is a great pleasure to rejoin Pirum at this exciting time in the company’s journey. Having previously acted as COO, it has been great following Pirum’s growth trajectory, successful product launches, and expanding global footprint. Phil's stewardship of the company has been exceptional, and I look forward to working with him again, as well as together with our new CEO, Mark, to deliver for our clients increased accuracy, speed, connectivity and insights across their businesses.”
Mark Hale, CEO, commented: “I am super excited to take the helm of Pirum, a leading technology partner in securities finance and a company I have admired for some time. I would also like to thank Phil for steering the firm in such a thoughtful manner over the last eight years. Pirum has a bright future, and Ben and I are excited to get started, collaborating with our first-class teams in New York and London, as well as our valued clients worldwide"
Julian Masters, managing partner at Bowmark, said: “Phil has been instrumental in driving Pirum’s growth and establishing its market-leading position. We are grateful for his significant contribution and are pleased that he will continue to support the business in an advisory role. Looking ahead, we are confident that, with Mark and Ben joining the leadership team, Pirum will continue to innovate and deliver exceptional value for its clients worldwide.
